Welcome Mrs Rust

A great big Kia Ora to Mrs Rust who is with Room 5 for the next 3 weeks. Already taking a reading group and maths group in the class, she is loving the wonderful atomosphere of the class. Today she got the class to work hard thinking about how to create a fair test in Science with on of her favourite hobbies- Gardening! Which one will grow radishes the best? Chook poo, coffee grinds, hay and manure, egg shells or the hair of Mr P's children? Time will tell!

Farewell Natasha

On Friday 18th March we farewelled Natasha . She has been here for 3 weeks due to the earthquake in Christchurch. Grace, Jayme, Jarrod and Mr P wrote a poem so she can take on her travels back to Christchurch. We all hope that she had a safe trip back to Christchurch and will miss all her contributions to our class. She was returning to her home which had sustained damage so we hope that has all been sorted out. As aftershocks continue in the Canterbury area we continue to think of all the people involved. Many of our class are going to the Taranaki 4 Canterbury concert this weekend in support. Miss you Natasha!

Welcome to the world of Room 5!

Room 5 at Mangorei School- home to a great group of young people who are keen learners, optimistic and who enjoy a challenge! This homepage is to showcase some of the events that have happened in Room 5 and to give you an opportunity to see the way our class works. In the future we will be giving our viewers the chance to comment as well!
